Transformation - Flowing Pools for Color
This encaustic painting was an experiment in alot of ways. I had various fabric materials and colored wax pigments and transfered images making up the piece to begin with....hated it...decided to either scrap it or add more layers of the clear wax. I ended up adding more layers...lots more layers....of wax to the whole piece and then took the irons to the piece. Wonderful pockets of color started popping out of the wax and flowing in very cool ways. I wanted to get my hands in there to manipulate but alas the wax needs to be hot.
